Papabodies, or No Room for Dad?

Thanks to classmate Brittanie Friend-Lee for sending me this interesting blog post "Moms Don't Understand." It brings up the tensions inherent in our class talks about marginalization. The writer, a straight, white man, feels excluded because a mom's group won't let him join even though he's a fully involved parent.

Yet he belongs to a dad's group with no women members.

What kind of space exists for a stay-at-home father in our culture? The question gets more tricky when we consider that a straight white man is privileged in most other cultural contexts. Is there validity and value in having moms groups, dads groups, AND parenting groups?
