Mamabodies is part of a group of four classes this semester that share a common theme: “Semester of the Badass." We’ll study badass African feminist writers and mothering characters (male and female). Other classes will study badass Spanish playwrights, Latino revolutionaries, and global powers. This idea is a creative, innovative, totally new experiment for Shenandoah. I hope you’re as excited about it as we are!
All “Badass” students must register for the co-requisite HUDS 495-101. This “class” does not cost more money or require more class time. It simply designates one Monday evening a month for us to meet with the other three Badass classes for a pizza party and discussion. On those four weeks, we will not meet during our regular Tuesday/Thursday class times. Monday evening sessions are scheduled for 2/2, 3/2, 3/30, 4/27 from 6:30-9:00 p.m.
